Connecticut, May 22, 2008: Graham Philips (Evan), Aaron Simon Gross (Archie), Joey LaVarco (Simon), Allie Trimm (Patrice), Eric M. Nelson (Brett), Ashton Smalling (Kendra), Elizabeth Gillies (Lucy), Al Calderon (Eddie), Eamon Foley (Archie), Caitlin Gann (Molly), Ariana Grande (Charlotte), Ashton Smalling (Cassie), Kyle Crews (Malcom). Fun musical with an all kids cast (including the band). The kids in this show are all wicked talented. And the show itself has a quirky, sarcastic humor which makes it fun. Bad News was the highlight for me, those boys were incredible. All sorts of shakiness and obstruction at the beginning of both acts, due to adjustment. Heads in view when zoomed out. Action on right side of screen is always obstructed. Frequent blackouts. It's not really all the great of a bootleg visually, but the audio's good. And if you wanna see most of the original cast pre-broadway, this is the DVD to have. No curtain call (VOB).
Aida
Broadway, December 3, 2000: Heather Headley (Aida), Adam Pascal (Radames), Sherie Rene Scott (Amneris), Damian Perkins (Mereb), John Hickok (Zoser). I saw this show many years ago in NY and it was just as good as my hazy memory remembered, if not better because of the original cast. Heather Headley is an actual goddess. Her voice is as clear and strong as on the cast recording. Everyone is really amazing honestly, I have no complaints in terms of the quality of the cast. This is a very old show, so quality is terrible. But the audio is decent, and you don't really lose any of the show because of the quality. There is a slight skip after Elaborate Lives. (VOB)
The Book of Mormon
Chicago, December 23, 2012: Nic Rouleau (Elder Price), Ben Platt (Elder Cunningham), Syesha Mercado (Nabulungi), Pierce Cassedy (Elder McKinley), James Vincent Meredith (Mafala Hatimbi). Awesome shot of the show while on tour in Chicago. This musical is HYSTERICAL. So incredibly funny and everyone is amazing. Great quality filming. Rare wandering cam and no blackouts. Overall a great show to have. (VOB)
Bridges of Madison County
Broadway, March 9, 2014: Kelli O'Hara (Francesca), Steven Pasquale (Robert), Hunter Foster (Bud), Michael X. Martin (Charlie), Cass Morgan (Marge), Caitlin Kinnunen (Carolyn), Derek Klena (Michael). A lot of audience obstruction, if you haven't seen the show you won't quite understand what's happening on stage. Still, good performances from the whole cast, and the music is lovely.
Dogfight
Off-Broadway, August 15th, 2012: Derek Klena (Eddie), Lindsay Mendez (Rose), Annaleigh Ashford, Nick Blaemire, Josh Segarra, Steven Booth, Adam Halpin, F. Michael Haynie, Becca Ayers, Dierdre Firel, James Moye. Awesome show. Derek and Lindsay are great, everyone is really. Great show by Pasek and Paul and a good recording. Shaky at times. Some audience heads on wides. FULL SHOW (includes dinner scene and Before It's Over). (mp4)
Elf
Broadway, November 11, 2010: Sebastian Arcelus, Amy Spanger, Beth Leavel, George Wendt, Mark Jacoby.
Ghost
West End, August 12, 2011: Caissie Levy (Molly), Richard Fleeshman (Sam), Sharon D Clarke (Oda Mae Brown), Andrew Langtree (Carl). I haven't watched the entirety of it yet but it's incomplete in a few places I've noticed, specifically in act 2. Not sure if this is just my problem or a link problem. If anyone has replacements, let me know. (VOB)
Broadway, July 28, 2012: Richard Fleeshman (Sam), Caissie Levy (Molly), Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Oda Mae Brown), Bryce Pinkham (Carl), Michael Balderrama (Willie Lopez), Tyler McGee (Subway Ghost). Great HD capture of the show toward the end of the run. Really amazing show. Vocally everyone is insanely amazing. The special effects are awesome. The acting is great. Overall amazing. It's a sad show though, like be prepared. (VOB)
West End, October 4th 2012: Mark Evans, Siobhan Dillon, Sharon D. Clarke, Andrew Langtree, Ivan de Freitas, Craig Stein, Ashley Knight, Lisa Davina Phillip, Jenny Fitzpatrick
Chicago, January 12, 2014: Steven Grant Douglas (Sam), Katie Postotnik (Molly), Carla R. Stewart (Oda Mae Brown), Robby Haltiwanger (Carl). While no one beats the original cast, this cast gives a valiant effort. Carla is hysterical as Oda Mae. Really well filmed, little shakiness or spotlight wash. (VOB)

Hamilton
Broadway, July, 2015
Lin-Manuel Miranda (Alexander Hamilton), Leslie Odom Jr. (Aaron Burr), Phillipa Soo (Eliza Hamilton), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Angelica Hamilton), Daveed Diggs (Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Christopher Jackson (George Washington), Jasmine Cephas Jones (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), Anthony Ramos (John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton), Okieriete Onaodowan (James Madison/Hercules Mulligan), Jonathan Groff (King George III). OBC shot from the orchestra. Beautiful quality. Includes Thayne as Seabury. Occasional washout but it's not distracting. (VOB)
Broadway, November 28, 2015 - Lin-Manuel Miranda (Alexander Hamilton), Leslie Odom Jr. (Aaron Burr), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Angelica Schuyler), Phillipa Soo (Eliza Hamilton), Christopher Jackson (George Washington), Daveed Diggs (Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Okieriete Onaodowan (Hercules Mulligan/James Madison), Anthony Ramos (John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton), Jasmine Cephas Jones (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), Jonathan Groff (King George III). Partial, goes from Aaron Burr, Sir, to History Has Its Eyes On You. OBC. Really low quality, but does show a little more of Satisfied that you can't see on the others. NFT at the master's request. (mp4)
Broadway, December 29, 2015 - Lin-Manuel Miranda (Alexander Hamilton), Leslie Odom Jr. (Aaron Burr), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Angelica Schuyler), Phillipa Soo (Eliza Hamilton), Christopher Jackson (George Washington), Daveed Diggs (Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Okieriete Onaodowan (Hercules Mulligan/James Madison), Anthony Ramos (John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton), Jasmine Cephas Jones (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), Jonathan Groff (King George III). Shot from the mezz. Daniel Watts as the understudy for Seabury. The best version of the Hamilton boots available, also the one that everyone has. Very little washout and the best look at the staging/choreo. Great view of the incredible lighting design as well. (mp4)
Broadway, June 19, 2016 - Javier Munoz (s/b Alexander Hamilton), Leslie Odom Jr. (Aaron Burr), Phillipa Soo (Eliza Scuyler), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Angelica Schuyler), Nicholas Christopher (u/s George Washington), Daveed Diggs (Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Okieriete Onaodowan (Hercules Mulligan/James Madison), Rory O'Malley (King George III), Andrew Chapelle (u/s John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton) , Alysha Desolorieux (u/s Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), Daniel J. Watts (u/s George Eaker). Lots of close ups, too many in my opinion. Half the brilliance of this show is in the choreo and staging, and you miss a lot of that here. But if you love the details of facial expressions in actors this is a great show to have. Every detail is visible. Alysha does an amazing job as Peggy/Maria. Andrew Chapelle brings an interesting take on John Laurens and Philip Hamilton. There is one super quick drop out of the camera at the beginning of "The Story of Tonight." and a few heads to the left of the screen but they do not obstruct the action. Some small but entertaining flubs - Leslie laughs at Rory's dancing during his lines in The Adams Administration. Renee flubs one line in Take A Break. (VOB)
Broadway, August 13, 2016 - Javier Munoz (Alexander Hamilton), Lexi Lawson (Eliza Hamilton), Sydney James Harcourt (u/s Aaron Burr), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Angelica Schuyler), Christopher Jackson (George Washington), Andrew Chappelle (u/s Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Ephraim Sykes (u/s Hercules Mulligan/James Madison), Anthony Ramos (John Laurens/Philip Hamilton), Jasmine Cephas Jones (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), Rory O’Malley (King George III). I absolutely LOVE Sydney. He puts so much nuance in his Burr. His 'Room' is so impassioned and brilliant. Because he's normally ensemble he knows all the choreo so well and plays that up brilliantly in choreo heavy 'Room'. Andrew has so really fun moments throughout. Ephraim holds his own, the visual of him play Mull/Mad is just not doing it for me but he does great. (VOB)

The Last Five Years
New Haven, May 24, 2014: Adam Halpin (Jamie), Katie Rose Clark (Cathy). Decent quality capture of Katie and Adam's 3-week run at the Long Wharf Theatre. Katie and Adam are superb. Since it's a two-person show, a bit more is required to carry it and keep it interesting, and they do a wonderful job. Being that I mainly know Katie from Wicked, I had no idea she had so strong a belt. She plays Cathy with a bit of quirk but also strength and I love it. Adam is great too, and very vocally strong. Love this show. (VOB)
The Last Ship
Chicago, June 2014 *Sunsetblvd79's master*: Michael Esper (Gideon Fletcher), Rachel Tucker (Meg Dawson), Jimmy Nail (Jackie White), Fred Applegate (Father O'Brien), Aaron Lazar (Arthur Millburn), Sally Ann Triplett (Peggy White), Collin Kelly-Sordelet (Young Gideon/Tom Dawson). PreBroadway tryout. Beautiful HD capture from the first week of previews of Sting's new musical. The story is brilliant, the performances are wonderful and the music is gorgeous. I saw this live and I'm so happy to have a capture of it now because I absolutely love this show. Some shakiness/wandering while adjusting, but no obstructions. (VOB, physical DVD).
Broadway, October 2014 *Sunsetblvd79's master*: Michael Esper (Gideon Fletcher), Rachel Tucker (Meg Dawson), Jimmy Nail (Jackie White), Fred Applegate (Father O'Brien), Aaron Lazar (Arthur Millburn), Sally Ann Triplett (Peggy White), Collin Kelly-Sordelet (Young Gideon/Tom Dawson). Lots of changes from the capture above (previews) to this show, including Michael's first song "I'm Back" being swapped out for a new song called, "All This Time." Collin is also featured a bit more as Young Gideon which is great to see. Brilliant performances from all the cast. The music is a wonder; Sting's score is truly amazing. This capture is not as nice as the one above. Some audience heads and wandering/unfocused cam at times. But it's still a good, high quality capture. (VOB, physical DVD).

Les Misérable
West End, September 19, 2013: Daniel Koek (Valjean), James Gant (u/s Javert), Na-Young Jeong (Fantine), Carrie Hope Fletcher (Eponine), Samantha Dorsey (Cosette), Anton Zetterholm (Enjolras), Rob Houchen (Marius), Wendy Ferguson (Madame Thénardier), Cameron Blakely (Thénardier), Ilan Galkoff (Gavroche), Caoimhe Judd (Young Cosette), Andreana Pascoulis (Young Eponine). Beautiful capture of the 2013/2014 cast. Carrie's Eponine is beautiful, she plays her with a strength and ferocity you don't often see in character. Shot in 16:9 HD from the front of the dress circle. Nice close ups and very few obstructions. (VOB)
Broadway, March 29, 2014: Ramin Karimloo (Valjean), Will Swenson (Javert), Caissie Levy (Fantine), Cliff Saunders (Thenardier), Keala Settle (M. Thenardier), Andy Mientus (Marius), Samantha Hill (Cosette), Nikki M. James (Eponine), Kyle Scatliffe (Enjolras), John Rapson (Grantaire), Angeli Negron (Little Cosette), Joshua Colley (Gavroche). Great HD capture of the revival. This cast plays up the little bits of humor which is fun. A bit weird for me to hear the show without British accents, but the cast is great. Caissie's Fantine is so beautifully tragic, I was sad to see her go. Ramin is amazing as Valjean. Andy's overall portrayal of Marius is wonderful. Andy and Nikki's LFoR is beautiful. Some crackling noise around On My Own. Blackout at end of Drink With Me into Bring Him Home. No curtain call. *Limited Trade*
Broadway, May 13, 2014: Nathaniel Hackmann (u/s Valjean), Will Swenson (Javert), Caissie Levy (Fantine), Cliff Saunders (Thenardier), Keala Settle (Mme. Thenardier), Andy Mientus (Marius), Samantha Hill (Cosette), Nikki M. James (Eponine), Kyle Scatliffe (Enjolras), John Rapson (Grantaire), Joshua Colley (Gavroche). Nathaniel definitely holds his own as Valjean, and he nails Bring Him Home. Caissie Levy is a brilliant, beautiful and tragic Fantine. Andy is wonderful as Marius. Keala is hysterical as Mme. Thenardie. Some weird crackling noises around On My Own (which is beautiful). A little shaky with wandering cam, darker background, and occasional head obstruction, but nothing too hindering. No curtain call. (VOB)

Decent capture of the show, shaky and blackouts until Light My Candle and then better. This is basically my dream cast, with the exception of Joanne and Angel. And everyone is positively amazing. The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown
Los Angeles, April 28, 2009: Patti Murin (Sam), Jenni Barber (Kelly), Nick Blaemire (Adam), Lisa Brescia (Mom), Stephen Bogardus (Dad). An awesome show by Kerrigan and Lowdermilk. I wish there were more recordings, I love everything about it. The music is amazing, the show as a whole is funny and sweet and subtle and emotional and beautiful and it's great to watch. Nice recording, rare audience heads at the bottom of screen on some wides. No spotlight washout, a little shakiness on occasion. Great video. (VOB)
